Eight-Seat 1966 Mustang with Rear Doors Made from Front Doors Hits the Market

A 1966 Ford Mustang coupe has been transformed into an eight-seat limousine, a conversion that defies convention by repurposing front doors as rear doors.

The car was stretched and fitted with thick new B-pillars to support the extended chassis, while the rear doors are salvaged front doors mounted in reverse.

The exterior received a full makeover, including a custom vinyl roof and a turquoise respray applied roughly eight years ago.

The car rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in Armstrong tires, features upgraded front brakes, and is equipped with air shocks at the rear axle.

Inside, the front cabin remains largely original, complete with classic gauges, while the rear two rows of seats face each other, upholstered in white and blue fabric over matching blue carpets, offering seating for up to eight passengers including the driver.

Power comes from a rebuilt 289 cubic-inch V8 engine, paired with a three-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels.

The conversion is said to have taken place before 2000, and the limousine is now listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, where potential buyers can place bids.
