This week’s online garage sale haul is a motley crew of weird, wonderful, and downright sketchy rides—each one a project waiting to happen or a rolling conversation piece.
First up is a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle Ute, a Smyth conversion that’s as charmingly rough as it is questionable.

The rear window joints look like they’ve been held together with aluminum tape, the paint’s busted, and the whole thing screams “previous owner’s handiwork.” But that’s exactly why it’s perfect: a $7,500 ute that’s equal parts pickup and punchline, begging for a lowball offer.
Then there’s the 2012 Scion FR-S with a BRZ bumper swap that’s either a masterstroke or a mess—hard to tell from the listing.

The seller’s note about “previous owners savagery” and the front-end damage (which they insist isn’t accident-related) only add to the mystery. Is it a hack job or a hidden gem? You’ll have to decide. For the budget-conscious thrill-seeker, a 1983 Kawasaki GPZ750 is up for grabs at $600.
It’s no GPZ900R, but at that price, it’s a steal—financial advice you can take to the bank, even if the editor insists it’s terrible advice.

The 1973 Dodge Charger is a sleeper in the best way: gorgeous bodywork hiding behind a dated front end, with the seller claiming it still runs on original hardware. Swap in a Hellcat or Hellephant, chop the nose, and suddenly you’ve got a one-of-a-kind muscle car. The 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600 is another enigma—badged only as a GSX-R, but confirmed as a 600.

The mismatched rear fairing and perfect paint match suggest a crash repair or a bizarre customization, leaving its true history a mystery. But hey, mystery is part of the fun. The star of the show? A 1996 Mitsubishi Bravo kei van mounted on Polaris tracks for $11,500. If you’ve ever wanted to pilot a kei van through snow, mud, or whatever else, this is your chance.

Rounding out the list is a 1997 Oshkosh MK48 for $5,000—a no-frills, no-nonsense workhorse that’s as practical as it is unexciting.
Whether you’re hunting for a project, a conversation starter, or just a cheap ride, this week’s picks deliver.
