In the second quarter of 2026, the Mercedes-Benz Group sold 511,900 cars and vans worldwide, representing a 2% increase over the previous quarter. Sales outside China rose 3% year-over-year, driven by strong growth in Europe and North America. The company’s battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sales surged 50% globally, with a 51% increase in BEV sales for Mercedes-Benz Cars. The new electric GLC, electric CLA, and electric GLB models are in high demand, and the new S-Class has had a successful launch in Europe. Mercedes-Benz Vans reported stable sales of 94,100 vans, with strong growth in North America and Europe. The company’s electrified vehicle sales mix continues to grow, with a 43% share of electrified vehicles in Europe and a 21% share worldwide. Despite challenges in the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz remains committed to its electric vehicle strategy and expects to increase BEV sales significantly in 2026.
