BMW Motorrad reveals model year 2027 updates across its lineup

BMW Motorrad has announced a comprehensive model update for its 2027 lineup, introducing new color schemes, factory-fit options, and revised special equipment packages. The refreshed models will be available for order from BMW Motorrad dealers starting August 2026.

Key highlights include a new Comfort Package featuring an M Endurance Chain for the BMW F 900 XR and BMW F 900 R. The BMW S 1000 RR receives a Style Edition M Sport with a Blackstorm Metallic / M Motorsport color scheme, tinted windscreen, and M Forged Wheels, while the Sport / Bluestone Metallic option is discontinued. USB charging ports are now included in the Dynamic Package and Edition M Sport for the S 1000 RR. The M Package gains new content, including M Forged Wheels, with M Carbon Wheels offered as an alternative.

The BMW M 1000 RR introduces a third-generation M Motorsport frame as standard, reducing weight by approximately 1.3 kg and improving flex properties with a 30% reduction in wall thickness. The frame’s stiffness and flexibility are tuned for optimal chassis performance and grip. M Forged Wheels are now standard, with M Carbon Wheels available as an alternative. The M Track Package replaces the M Competition Package, offering M Endurance Chain, Carbon Package, M Billet Package, and M Carbon Wheels. A second M Track Package (M Track Package II) is also available, excluding M Carbon Wheels.

The BMW M 1000 XR follows a similar update, with the M Track Package and M Track Package II replacing the M Competition Package. The M Track Package includes M Laptrigger, Carbon Package, M Billet Package, and M Carbon Wheels, while M Track Package II omits the M Carbon Wheels.

The BMW R 1300 RS gains left/right case holders as a factory option for the Style Performance trim. The BMW R 1300 R adds left/right case holders as a factory option and introduces a new Touring Package featuring left/right case holders, Central Lock, and Central Stand.

The BMW S 1000 R includes a USB charging port in its Comfort Package. The BMW M 1000 R receives the M Track Package and M Track Package II, replacing the M Competition Package, with the same content structure as the M 1000 XR.

For the BMW K 1600 GT, Style Edition II now features Imperial Blue Metallic, with the 719 Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic option discontinued. The batch “K 1600 Edition” includes a black/yellow seat bench and yellow wheel tape. The BMW K 1600 GTL’s Style Edition II also adopts Imperial Blue Metallic, while the 719 Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic and Exclusive Gravity Blue Metallic options are no longer available. The batch “K 1600 Edition” includes a new black (719) bench seat and 719 Forged Wheels.

The BMW K 1600 Bagger and Grand America models in Style Edition II now feature Imperial Blue Metallic, with the 719 Ionic Silver Metallic option discontinued. The BMW R 12 G/S offers Style Option 719 and Option 719 II in Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic, while the 719 Sandrover Uni Matt option is no longer available.
