Polestar is expanding its Polestar 4 range with a new SUV body style, which adds a tailgate, more storage, and up to 392 miles of range. The new SUV will debut on September 2 in the UK, but it will not be sold in the US, where Polestar sales will soon end. The Polestar 4 SUV features a redesigned roofline, reworked rear glass, and an upright tail with a rear windshield on the tailgate, making it a five-door EV. The SUV will retain the design, performance, and sustainability credentials of the Polestar 4 coupe, with a 400V architecture offering a WLTP range of up to 630 km (392 miles) for the single-motor RWD variant and up to 544 HP (408 kW / 552 PS) for the dual-motor AWD model. The SUV will be built in Busan, South Korea, and sold across most markets where the Geely-owned brand currently operates, excluding the US due to the “Connected Vehicle Rule”. The Polestar 4 SUV will have a wheelbase of 2,999 mm (118 in) and an overall length of 4,840 mm (190.5 in), with retuned chassis components for a balance between refinement and sporty responses.
