Mahindra XUV3XO ZNG Scores 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

Mahindra Auto has announced the Bharat NCAP crash test results for the XUV3XO ZNG, securing a prestigious 5-star safety rating.

Despite the additional weight of the CNG system and platform structural modifications required to accommodate the dual-cylinder CNG storage solution, the XUV3XO ZNG matches the crash performance of the non-CNG petrol-only model.

The vehicle scored 29.3 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points for child occupant protection under Bharat NCAP testing norms. This makes the XUV3XO ZNG India’s first sub-4-meter CNG SUV to achieve a 5-star safety rating.

The SUV comes equipped with over 35 standard safety features, including 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), and dedicated CNG safety features.

On the Bharat NCAP website, the crash performance results of the XUV3XO are extended to the ZNG variants.

The PM CG MT CNG family members receiving the 5-star rating include the MX1, MX2, MX Edge, REVX Edge (O), AX5, and REVX A.

The dual-cylinder CNG setup ensures boot space is preserved, and the spare wheel remains stored under the body.
