USA Truck has introduced a revised driver incentive package, which includes a 5 cents per mile bonus for eligible company drivers. The new structure replaces the carrier’s previous quarterly and year-end bonus programs with two incentive tracks: one tied to mileage and the other to length of service. Under the mileage-based program, drivers receive the additional pay based on dispatched and paid miles, with payments made through regular payroll.

The second component is a company-funded career tenure framework that increases in value with service time and provides milestone payouts over a driver’s career progression. The incentives apply to eligible active company drivers in the carrier’s over-the-road, regional, dedicated, and local fleets and are effective immediately. USA Truck CEO George Henry stated that the company wants its compensation strategies to reflect the true value of its drivers’ loyalty and hard work.

The move is part of the carrier’s efforts to emphasize retention and consistent performance under new ownership, UTAC, which acquired USA Truck in January. USA Truck ranks No. 76 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.
