Goodyear is showcasing its tire technology and design partnerships at the Mondial de l’Auto Paris 2026, running from October 12-18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Highlighting the integral role tires play in automotive design, Goodyear’s Advanced Design Studio collaborates with leading automakers to create bespoke tire solutions that enhance brand identity, support future mobility visions, and complement vehicle styling using advanced laser-carving technologies and customized sidewall treatments. Sebastien Fontaine, Lead Designer at the Advanced Design Studio in the Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg, noted that concept vehicles require customized tire designs that become an essential part of a vehicle’s visual identity. Among the key highlights at the show are two standout concept vehicles. First, Opel’s booth features the Goodyear-equipped Opel Sports Tourer eXperimental Concept (Opel STX Concept), symbolizing the next stage of Opel’s design philosophy and presenting a vision of the electric estate of tomorrow. It features the prominent Opel Vizor face, strong lighting signatures, extendable diffuser elements, and three-zone alloy wheels fitted with customized Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires sized at 285/35R22, which feature sidewall styling that extends visual cues from the rim. Additionally, Peugeot is debuting the PEUGEOT RCZ Vision concept, representing the latest expression of its Feline Future design language. Across the entire Mondial de l’Auto Paris event, various production vehicles—ranging from utility and sports cars to off-road models, EVs, and petrol-powered cars—are equipped with Goodyear tires designed to deliver efficiency, grip, and durability.
