McMurtry’s Spéirling PURE, a single-seat electric hyper track car, has officially entered production with a staggering 1,000 HP and the ability to hit 60 mph in 1.55 seconds. The car features a patented fan-powered Downforce-on-Demand system, generating up to 4,409 lbs of downforce from zero miles per hour, allowing it to pull up to 3g in corners and under braking. With a 100-kWh battery pack feeding twin rear-mounted motors, the Spéirling PURE can reach a claimed 190 mph. McMurtry claims the car was designed to offer a plug-and-play ownership experience, similar to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, with manageable running costs. The production-ready Spéirling PURE boasts a redesigned carbon-fiber monocoque, more cockpit space, improved visibility, integrated lighting, and easier service access. Pricing starts at £995,000, or about $1.3 million before taxes and options, with 25 units already sold. The Spéirling PURE has already made a name for itself by destroying the competition at Goodwood, rewriting record books, and becoming the first car to drive upside down.
