Toyota has shared its vision for new electric vehicle (EV) technologies on the TV show ‘Tomorrow’s World Today’.

The episode, titled ‘Power Ping Pong’, features Toyota experts and technologies in development that aim to take on energy resilience and grid management.

The company’s multi-pathway approach includes battery electric vehicles that can serve as mobile power generators, home backup systems, and devices to help maintain energy resilience. The episode is scheduled to air on May 16 at 10 a.m. ET on the Science Channel and May 17 at 7 a.m. across all U.S. time zones on the Discovery Channel.

Toyota subject-matter experts, including Norman Lu, Cody Emmert, and Maddy Strutner, discuss how they are bringing new dimensions to battery electric vehicles and the infrastructure that supports them.

The episode is part of the show’s 10th season, which explores how things are made and what the future looks like.
