Honda’s 2027 Prelude Limited Edition debuts in Japan with deep-red garnet paint and Bordeaux trim for $39,300

Honda has rolled out a 2027 Limited Edition of its hybrid Prelude coupe exclusively for the Japanese market, priced from $39,300.

The special model swaps the standard Moonlit Pearl finish for a new Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint, paired with matching grille moldings, red bumper accents, and red Brembo brake calipers behind 19-inch Machined Black Clear alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin features Bordeaux leather inserts on the front seats, center console, and dashboard, with black leather upholstery and Bordeaux stitching throughout. The passenger-side dashboard logo is embroidered in red instead of white.

Mechanically, the 2027 Limited Edition carries over the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain as the standard Prelude, producing a combined 200 HP (149 kW / 203 PS) and sending power to the front wheels via Honda’s S+Shift system, which simulates gear changes with torque mapping and sound effects. The Limited Edition is already open for orders in Japan and arrives at dealerships on August 20. It costs ¥6,306,300 ($39,300), which is ¥126,500 ($800) more than the standard Prelude.

Honda has not confirmed whether this garnet-and-Bordeaux color scheme will reach other markets, including North America, for the 2027 model year.
