BMW Art Cars Exhibition Concludes with Record-Breaking Attendance

The BMW Art Cars exhibition at BMW Welt has concluded with a record-breaking attendance of over 120,000 visitors. The exhibition, which ran from July 29 to August 31, 2026, featured 20 BMW Art Cars, including Olafur Eliasson’s ‘BMW H2R Project’. The exhibition marked the finale of the BMW Art Car World Tour, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the BMW Art Car Collection. The collection, which was founded in 1975, features 20 artworks created by renowned artists such as Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, and Andy Warhol. The BMW Art Cars will remain accessible online through the BMW Welt App and will also be displayed in changing constellations around the world. The exhibition at BMW Welt traced five decades of artistic engagement with art and design, technology and innovation, motorsport and engineering.
