Sena Prism 2 Action Camera First Look: 7 Fast Facts, Plus Specs

Sena has launched the Prism 2, a 4K action camera designed to record Mesh Intercom conversations alongside video.

The camera shoots 4K at 30 fps through a 165-degree lens, takes 20-megapixel stills, delivers an IPX7 waterproof rating, and records audio wirelessly from a Sena Mesh network. The Sena Prism 2 sells for $349 and is available now through Sena dealers and at Sena.com.

It features electronic image stabilization, a Sony IMX317 sensor, and supports Mesh Intercom 2.0 and 3.0.

The camera can record audio from the built-in microphone, a paired Bluetooth headset, or a Sena Mesh network, and writes it as stereo AAC at 48 kHz. The Prism 2 also features Advanced Noise Control to keep voices clear in demanding conditions.

The camera has a 1650 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which charges in 2.5 hours, and ships with a second battery and a dual charger. The data is stored on a microSD card rated U3 or faster, which the buyer supplies. The camera module weighs 5.4 ounces and measures 2.87 by 1.96 by 1.25 inches.

Sena includes two magnetic quick-release mounts, a handlebar mount, an extension pivot arm, and long and short adhesive mounts in the box.

The Sena Prism 2 gets the conversation into the video file without a workaround, making it ideal for riders who post group-ride videos.
