Touratech Aventuro Gravel Carbon Helmet First Look: Fast Facts

Touratech has launched the Aventuro Gravel Carbon, a carbon-fiber adventure helmet designed for riders who split their time between pavement, gravel, and trail. This new top-tier model joins Touratech’s Aventuro lineup, which already includes the fiberglass Matrix Pro, the carbon-laminate Pro Carbon+, and the Travel Carbon flip-up. The Gravel Carbon is one of the lightest in its class, weighing 3.3 pounds in size L with the peak and face shield installed.

Its shell is made from X-Pro carbon, a composite containing more than 60 percent carbon fiber, and the helmet is built in three shell sizes to ensure the EPS liner thickness matches the rider’s head. Certification includes both ECE 22.06 and DOT, making it street-legal across all 50 U.S. states. The helmet’s modular design allows for three quick, tool-free configurations: a conventional adventure setup with peak and face shield, a full-face road helmet with cleaner airflow, or an off-road setup with peak and goggles.

The generous eye port accommodates nearly any goggle on the market. Touratech’s Anti-Vibration EPS System uses a flexible rubber layer between EPS sections to dampen turbulence-induced buzz at highway speeds, reducing noise and neck fatigue. Ventilation is adjustable via a chin-controlled air routing system that can direct airflow to the face shield in cold weather or onto the face as temperatures rise.

Side cheek vents and large exhaust ports at the back and nape enhance airflow. The interior features a 3D mesh for breathability, paired with Touratech’s X-mart Dry fabric liner. All padding is removable and washable, and cheek pads route a hydration tube.

Cold-weather accessories include a nose and wind guard, while an adjustable peak extension helps block sunlight. The chinstrap uses a double-D ring in an aluminum housing, Touratech’s X-Lock system made from Peraluman, a lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy. A magnetic tab secures the loose strap end instead of a snap.

The Emergency Quick Release System allows first responders to remove the helmet with minimal head movement, reducing risk in neck-injury scenarios. The helmet includes integrated action camera mounts—one on the chin bar and another integrated into the shell—with the chin mount offering four locking positions and 360-degree rotation. Intercom interfaces are pre-fitted for easy installation of comm units.

Touratech has not announced a U.S. price or on-sale date but is selling the helmet in Europe now for €749 in two graphics and sizes S to 3XL. For context, Touratech USA currently lists the Aventuro Matrix at $730, the Aventuro Carbon Pro at $799, and the Aventuro Travel Carbon modular at $980, suggesting the Gravel Carbon will sit at or above the top of that price range.
