TFI International’s truckload division has seen significant improvement in its operating ratio, which decreased to 86.1 in Q2 2026 from 90.1 in the same period last year. The division’s revenue before fuel surcharges rose 6.8% to $760.8 million, and revenue per truck per week increased 13% to $4,942. CEO Alain Bédard attributes the improvement to acquisitions, capacity reductions, and targeted sector growth, and believes the operating ratio can be pushed toward 80-83. The company’s overall net income increased 39% to $136.2 million, and revenue rose 12.4% to $2.29 billion. TFI’s truckload division represents 40% of the company’s overall revenue, and the unit’s revenue per truck per week, including fuel, jumped 21.6% to $6,151. The company’s executives cite the benefits of investments made during the recent slowdown, including strategic M&A and internal operations, and believe the company is well-positioned for future growth.
