Aprilia is crashing the US scooter party with the 2027 SR GT 400, a 399cc adventure-tuned machine that blends off-road grit with urban practicality.

The mid-size scooter lands in US dealerships this month, priced from $7,299 for the base model in Rugged Black or Dusty Grey.

The Rally Replica version adds $200 for a matte-black, Africa Eco Race-inspired look with gold fork stems, red shock springs, and Aprilia’s MIA connectivity system standard.

Both share the same powertrain: a liquid-cooled, 399cc SOHC single making 36 HP at 7,500 rpm and 27.8 lb-ft of torque at 5,700 rpm, mated to a fully automatic CVT.

Aprilia claims a 0–60 mph time of 5 seconds and 61 MPG, giving the 3.2-gallon tank a real-world range of over 185 miles.

The Euro 5+ engine meets strict emissions standards, while the chassis borrows from Aprilia’s motorcycle playbook—a high-strength steel double-cradle frame built in the Veneto factory, designed for sharp low-speed agility and stable highway manners. Weighing 410 pounds, the SR GT 400 boasts a class-leading power-to-weight ratio.

Suspension is pure off-road: an inverted 41mm fork up front with 4.7 inches of travel and piggyback-reservoir shocks at the rear, also with 4.7 inches of travel.

Braking is serious, too—a 300mm floating front disc with a radial-mount 4-piston caliper and sintered pads, paired with a 240mm rear disc and 2-piston caliper. Bosch dual-channel ABS is standard, switchable to front-only for dirt duty.

The adventure credentials continue with Mitas Enduro Trail-ADV 2 tires on 16-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, 7.5 inches of ground clearance, and a 32.3-inch seat height.

Rider aids include a 5-inch color TFT dash with day/night modes, two levels of traction control (switchable on the fly), and an option to disable rear-wheel ABS when TC is off. Keyless start and a Bike Finder feature that flashes turn signals in crowded lots are standard. The Rally Replica adds smartphone connectivity via Aprilia MIA for calls, music, and navigation.

For city riders, the SR GT 400 packs a full-face helmet under the seat and a USB-C port in the legroom storage.

A 5-position windscreen adjusts 2.75 inches without tools, and an optional top box mounts to a rear rack for longer trips.

The SR GT 400 undercuts key rivals: the 2026 Suzuki Burgman 400 starts at $8,949, and the 2025 BMW C 400 GT at $8,445, both well above Aprilia’s $7,299 base price.
