Stellantis has reported a significant increase in shipments worldwide, with a total of 1,597,000 vehicles shipped in the second quarter, representing a 10 percent increase from the same period last year. The company’s North American shipments surged 38 percent, from roughly 323,000 units to 445,000 units, thanks to the return of models like the iconic HEMI V8, updates to the Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and Cherokee, and the ramp-up of the all-new Jeep Cherokee. The HEMI V8’s return is thought to have been a key driver, along with fresh metal and powertrains, including the new Ram 1500 TRX SRT. Shipments in Europe also increased by 5 percent year-over-year, driven by models such as the Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, and Fiat Grande Panda. However, not all markets have seen growth, with declines noted in the Middle East & Africa, South America, and certain European models, including the Jeep Avenger, Fiat 600, Opel Mokka, and Peugeot 2008.
