Stellantis reported a 10% increase in second-quarter shipments, totaling approximately 1.6 million vehicles, driven by strong growth in North America. The company saw a 38% jump in North American shipments, with the reintroduction of popular models such as the Ram 1500 pickup truck with a Hemi V8 engine. In Europe, shipments rose 5%, including figures from the joint venture with China’s Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co. The increase comes as Stellantis advances its €60 billion turnaround plan, which involves introducing dozens of new models and prioritizing key brands like Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat. Despite this growth, the company’s shares have lost over a quarter of their value since the plan was presented, with analysts citing issues such as rising inventories in the US. Stellantis is set to release its full second-quarter results on July 30.
