CMA CGM to acquire FedEx Supply Chain for $1.4 billion

French shipping giant CMA CGM Group has agreed to purchase FedEx Supply Chain, the third-party logistics arm of FedEx Corp., in a cash deal valued at $1.4 billion. The acquisition will bolster CMA CGM’s contract logistics footprint in North America, where FedEx Supply Chain handles warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services for corporate clients. In parallel, FedEx and CMA CGM will enter a multiyear strategic partnership covering air and ocean freight services. The deal was announced on July 1, 2026, and FedEx’s shares edged up less than 1% in pre-market trading on the same day.
