Cars.com has unveiled its 2026 American-Made Index, ranking the most American-built vehicles available in the U.S. market. The results reveal a stark reality for domestic automakers: only two American brands—Tesla and Jeep—appear in the top 10, while Japanese and Korean manufacturers dominate the list.

Out of the top 20 vehicles, just six are produced by Stellantis, Ford, or General Motors, with no GM models making the cut. In contrast, Japanese brands like Honda and Acura account for seven entries, while one Korean model is included.

Tesla secures the top spot for the second consecutive year, followed by two Jeep models in third and fourth place. The index evaluates vehicles based on five key criteria: final assembly location, percentage of U.S. and Canadian-sourced parts (per the American Automobile Labeling Act), U.S. factory employment relative to production volume, and the origin of engines and transmissions.

Among the 379 light-duty vehicles automakers plan to sell in the U.S. in 2026, 119 are built entirely in the U.S., 243 are imported, and 17 use a mix of domestic and imported assembly lines. The top 20 most American-made vehicles for 2026 are: 20. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, 19. Toyota Tundra, 18. Acura Integra, 17. Kia EV9, 16. Acura RDX, 15. Ford Explorer, 14. Lincoln Aviator, 13. Ford Expedition & Expedition Max, 12. Lincoln Navigator & Navigator L, 11. Toyota Camry, 10.
